Site Pal Feature Added

Have you ever been on a website where it was hard to find out what the upcoming events were?

www.centenaryunited.com now has a feature that will take the guess-work out of where to find the latest news about upcoming events.

The Site Pal is a talking feature that will tell you upon entry on the site what is new or what events are coming that you may be interested in attending.

The feature only initiates itself once (upon your first log on) - after that - simply press the "Play" button to hear the information that was being relayed.

Some upcoming changes to this feature will also change how it works. Some people have almost fallen off their chairs when logging in and hearing the Site Pal for the first time. The feature will be changing that it will be a user-initiated feature only.

As the intent is to inform and not to scare - I think this will be a welcomed change.

 

ClustrsMaps

 

ClustrMaps are a feature on our website that show you where our callers are calling in from. The bigger the red dot - the more callers we have from that area.

Two pages on our website are currently being tracked using this feature.

1) The Canadian Affirming/Welcoming Organizations list was added in February. This page (tracking shown below) has had over 300 callers from all over the world since the tracking was introduced. Callers to this page are finding us through Google and Other searches and do not necessarily know about Centenary United Church. This introduces not only allows them to find the church they are looking for but allows them to be introduced to our congregation.

2) Our main web page has had over 5300 since November of 2006. We have had callers from all over Europe, Africa and now are getting callers from Asia.
