Text Box: The 2007 Lenten and Easter Season is upon us, beginning on Ash Wednesday, February 21st, and continuing for six weeks until Easter on April 8th. The readings and teachings of the season assist us in remembering the death and celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This year’s Lenten devotional, “Singing a Song of Faith: Reflections for Lent,” is intended for both individual and group study. Each week introduces a different section and includes reflections about God the Creator, grace, spirit, scripture, Jesus, church, and hope. Your commitment to this week includes an opening and closing two-hour session as well as two daily thirty-minute praying sessions, one at home and the other at Centenary with a “prayer companion.” This is an opportunity for you to grow with God through private personal prayer. We want to deepen the fellowship of the Church and ensure that the people connected with Centenary know that we care and that we have resources to support and encourage them.
