Centenary is an Affirming Congregation,

one of approximately 30 such United Church congregations across Canada.

We are a community of Christians who have chosen to make a public commitment, in the name of Jesus Christ, to being a safe and positive family of faith, which extends acceptance, offers support, and seeks divine justice for:

  • The marginalized in our society

  • Those with chronic illness

  • Those with extraordinary challenges, be they physical, emotional or mental and

  • Those who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender

This does NOT mean that we are ONLY a congregation for the GLBT community.

It means that we are a Community of Welcome for anyone and especially for anyone who has not felt welcome elsewhere, whatever the reason.

We are committed to:

  • Being a faith family of hope

  • And a Spiritual home for anyone who is ready to have their spiritual woundedness healed

You can participate in Centenary in both the traditional services or you may join other non-traditional ways:

  • Become a member of our international  "Centenary Faith Community Online" "CFCO" OR

  • Become a "Centenary Satellite Faith Community" "CSFC" OR

  • Online "Spiritual Companioning"
